The insert key on my Dell Inspiron laptop's keyboard does not toggle between insert and overwrite. Note that the Shift key acts as a temporary toggle on the Num Lock state when you press one of the keypad keys (just like Shift acts as a toggle on Caps Lock for letters). But I cannot do a shift-insert no matter how hard I try, I have to use the paste function in a mouse click. Is there another way to correct this problem? I'm confused.
